Highway 49 in Sierray County experienced embankment failures due to the previous season's extreme weather conditions, resulting in the need for emergency work. Myers and Sons Construction was responsible for reconstructing the embankment, placing soldier pile walls, replacing the metal beam guard rails, roadway repair, and applying erosion control measures. The location of this work was along PM 24.1/2.61.
