Myers and Sons Construction working this weekend on Highway 50

Caltrans officials are warning drivers to expect traffic slowdowns and perhaps extended backups on Highway 50 in Sacramento and West Sacramento this weekend due to construction-related lane closures. Lanes also will be closed at night this weekend and early next week on Interstate 5 south of Sacramento to allow for removal of an old overpass. Crews, which closed several lanes in both directions on Highway 50 Friday night, may have only two lanes open at many points during the weekend. The full freeway should be reopened by 5 a.m.

Two Myers project in the news for work this weekend!

Thousands of drivers got caught in a massive, hourlong backup on Highway 50 through downtown last weekend when construction crews closed several lanes for deck repairs. Get ready. Here it comes again.Caltrans will close two eastbound lanes of Highway 50 on the Pioneer Bridge over the Sacramento River for resurfacing Friday at about 7 p.m., and will keep those lanes closed through the weekend.

What is the South County Regional WasteWater Authority (SCRWA)?

SCRWA is a joint powers authority established to manage the treatment of wastewater for the Cities of Gilroy and Morgan Hill. In partnership with the Santa Clara Valley Water District, the SCRWA alsooperates a recycled water facility co-located at the treatment plant site. The SCRWA plant was built in 1990 and is a model of energy efficiency and cost effective operation.

Myers and Sons Construction and ACC, Joint Venture was awarded the San Mateo Bridge overlay project by Caltrans district 4

Myers & Sons Construction, L.P., an affiliate of Sterling Construction Company, Inc. (STRL - Snapshot Report), is the selected contractor for the San Mateo Bridge project for the counties of San Mateo and Alameda. Construction on the project, worth around $25.3 million, is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2015.

Myers and Sons Construction finishes strong for the residents of Chico, CA

A new northbound Highway 99 bridge over Butte Creek opened today after a seven-month, $10 million construction project, Caltrans announced. The new two-lane bridge replaces a 60-year-old structure and ends a detour onto a temporary bridge. Over the next month, construction crews will be working to remove concrete barriers on the southbound bridge and return the southbound lanes to the original alignment.

Things always seem to take too long. When the cable guy says he’ll arrive by noon, we know it’ll be closer to supper. Doctors are late. The mechanic needs an extra day. Every government project, it seems, takes longer than expected; the left can point to Iraq, the right can point to healthcare.gov. So it was something of a shock when Caltrans announced that its Fix 50 project, a restoration of the W/X Viaduct on Highway 50, actually finished early.

Highway 50 lane closures through El Dorado Hills to resume Monday for interchange work

Lane closures on Highway 50 through El Dorado Hills will resume Monday as work continues on the Silva Valley Parkway interchange. The El Dorado County Transportation Division announced that it will implement full one-directional closures of the highway to allow needed falsework operations for the Silva Valley overcrossing.
