Responsibilities:
- Managing the employee life-cycle –processing new hires, conducting new hire orientations, 30/60/90 interviews, processing separations /terminations, and promotions of both union and non-union employees.
- Assist with recruiting and oversee Internship program
- Assist with audits
- Administration of benefits, including medical, dental, vision and 401K for both California and Colorado.
- Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
- Builds positive relationships with both craft labor and office personnel
- Answers general HR questions and coordinating resolutions
- Assist in the implementation of employee engagement events
- Stay current on HR trends and best practices
- Other projects as assigned
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience in Human Resources
- Basic knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Experience working with Unions is a plus
- Basic understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office products including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Fully on-site in our Sacramento Office (near Natomas)
- Monday to Friday
- Some travel required
