This project involves the installation of a 4-foot diameter stormwater manhole beneath Soda Creek Road, approximately 350 feet south of Little Bear Creek Road. The new manhole will connect to the north side of the road via a new 8-inch plastic pipe, terminating in a riprap outlet with a concrete headwall. The exact length of the new pipe will be determined in the field.
The existing downstream 8-inch metal pipe will be permanently plugged. Additional work includes excavation, dewatering, removal of the existing pipe, hot mix asphalt patching, traffic control, and preparation of as-built plans. All work will be completed in accordance with project specifications and applicable safety and environmental standards.
