The Filter Rehabilitation Project encompasses a comprehensive upgrade of the existing filtration system to enhance operational efficiency and reliability. Key improvements include the removal of the existing raw water air blower piping and blowers, followed by the installation of two new high-performance air blowers and associated air scour piping. The project also involves the replacement of outdated underdrains with modern low-profile underdrains, as well as the complete renewal of influent and backwash troughs. Existing filter media will be removed and properly disposed of, making way for new media installation. Structural repairs will be carried out on the concrete surfaces within the filters, which will then be recoated to ensure long-term durability. Additionally, epoxy coatings will be applied to the water treatment plant floor surfaces to improve protection and cleanliness. The scope also includes various ancillary structural and mechanical enhancements, such as recoating work and skylight replacement.
