AGC of California recognized Myers and Sons Construction for our participation in Safety Week. The intro reads: Throughout this week, several AGC member companies held safety stand-downs and conducted safety trainings covering fall protection awareness, confined space entry, vehicle and equipment safety, ladder safety, and active shooter training. Myers and Sons Construction is a finalist on three AGC of California Safety Excellence Awards! Construction Safety Excellence Award in Heavy/Civil/Highway Division. Individual Safety Effort of a Project Superintendent - Charlie Nicholson. Unique Safety Award for LAWA Second Level Roadway Project.
Myers and Sons Construction has been awarded eight contracts recently:
City of Sacramento Riverfront Reconnection – Phase 1: This bridge project will help connect Old Sacramento and the Sacramento River to Downtown Sacramento.
PG&E Dirk Road Bridge Replacement: This project replaces a bridge that leads to a power plant and must be completed in a short amount of time. This is Myers and Sons Construction’s first project with PG&E and we are very excited to start a relationship with one of California’s great utility companies.
Myers and Sons Construction parent company Sterling Construction Company, Inc. earned the 18th spot on The Top 50 Domestic Heavy Contractors list and the 19th spot in The Top 20 Contractors by Sector for Transportation. Sterling also ranks overall as number 100 on The Top 400 List.
CC Myers was honored by the Boy Scouts of America for his involvement in the community. Over 400 people gathered to honor him at the annual PUSH dinner put on by the Golden Empire of Boy Scouts. Below is a link to a video tribute presented at the dinner.
