Job Number: 0469

The Employee Lot Electric Bus Charging Project is a critical infrastructure initiative designed to support the transition to sustainable transportation. The scope includes the installation of eight electric bus chargers and two dual electric vehicle chargers, along with the foundational infrastructure to accommodate six additional bus chargers in the future. The project also involves significant LADWP infrastructure construction and pavement enhancements, including the removal and restriping of parking stalls to optimize layout and functionality. The project is divided into two distinct phases to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Phase 1 focuses on electrical infrastructure construction over an 84-day period. This includes trenching and backfilling, installation of underground utilities, and the setup of panelboards and charging stations. Due to the complexity of this phase, it requires close coordination with multiple stakeholders, including LAWA, LADWP, LADBS, and others. Phase 2, scheduled for 21 calendar days, centers on civil and architectural improvements. This includes pavement repairs and the comprehensive restriping of lane delineators and parking stalls. The work is carefully planned to minimize operational impact while preserving traffic flow along World Way West and maintaining access to all entry points.
