This project involved inspection and refurbishment of a furnished bulkhead gate, including replacement of rubber “J” seals, hydraulic lines, and valves. The gate was installed and removed using underwater diving services. Additional work included dewatering the Flood Control Outlet Works Tunnel and Stilling Basin for inspection and repairs, installation of a flap gate in the Stilling Basin and a slide gate in the Seepage Vault, and fabrication of metal walkways and ladders within the Spillway Tunnel.A reinforced concrete pad was constructed to support a new bulkhead storage rack and cover. The project required refurbishment of the tunnel interior located 145 feet below the lake’s surface, with all work performed under a comprehensive confined space safety plan developed by the construction team.
